Question: I am the one with the stitches?
after i had the teeth extracted and its been a week the stitches are starting to irritate my gums i think they are healed and now the stitches are bothersome any advice..
Answers:
Don't mess with the stitches. have your dentist check them. Also, the gum tissue will heal over in two to three weeks after the extraction as a rule, however they will take between 5 and 6 months to completely heal and they will change shape and size as they heal. Good luck and I wish you well.

Go back to the doctor and have him/her remove the stitches. This happens with some regularity.
