What can I do to get rid of this tooth ache?!

Question: What can I do to get rid of this tooth ache?
About 2 or 3 months ago I was eating a bowl of cereal and a piece of my very back tooth came out. Now there's a big like hole in my tooth, just tonight I ate a fast break candy bar and I started having really bad tooth pains that lead into my jaw. Now its just one big tooth/jaw ache =( I was wondering If anyone knew what I could do to relieve it and what they think the problem may be. Thanks.

Use clove oil, it's a natural solution. What makes clove oil so effective at numbing severe tooth pain? Eugenol, the pharmacologically active ingredient of clove essential oil, is a natural anesthetic. It is the main ingredient in zinc-oxide eugenol paste, which is used for filling dental cavities. Clove oil uses such as manufacturing dental products like zinc-oxide eugenol paste (dental filling), mouthwashes, and oral rinses are popular. Using clove oil topically is recommended as a treatment for toothaches and mouth pain.

You probably exposed the nerve. To fix it the correct way, you should see the dentist and they will fix it. But that is rather expensive. an easy, cheap, though not really recommended way is to bite down on an aspirin (as disgusting as that sounds) where the root is most likely exposed, several days in a row, to slowly kill the nerve. The problem with this is that if the root stays exposed for too long it could become infected and essentially abscessed, in which case you would HAVE to see a dentist (or risk death... literally) and they will become very very pissed off at you for doing the aspirin thing. Sorry there aren't much better options, oral pain relievers don't begin to touch the pain, and no pill short of narcotics help either, well ingesting them anyways lol.... hope this helps :)

Been there, done that......

The problem is the tooth has broke. You should have gone tot he dentist when it first broke. Most likely at least cracked into the nerve or even exposing the nerve. You need to have it looked at by a dentist. At the very least get it pulled. Or repaired and a crown put on it.

If you have any whole cloves in the kitchen spice cabinet, take one clove. Place it between that tooth and the one that meets it when you bite down. And gently apply pressure. There is something about cloves that can help tooth aches. How much it can help in your case is questionable however.

Life's experience.

Gargle some warm salt water (sea salt). Also, take Advil or Tylenol. Go to the dentist or the pain won`t go away.
