Only an x-ray will show whether it's a molar or a wisdom tooth. A dentist will refer you to an oral surgeon for any work that may be done.DON'T worry about wasting their time.. it's their job, and you shouldn't have to be in pain! And, I don't how old you are, but wisdom teeth come in about the age of when 'wisdom' supposedly occurs.. mid-teen to early 20's years.. and if you do have to get them extracted, they usually give you anesthesia.. and some pain killers.

experience.

See your dentist right away if yoru soar use some oral gel and to see if you may need to have them removed by the way your not waitsting there time cause dentists are there to help you thorugh whatyou need through concerns and through pain your having to help you in there care they can im not a dentist but i know alot of dental people and im going to be a dental assistant well trying to get into school for it but anyways you should see your dentist right away its normal if there swelling its means your wisdom teeth are coming through and if hurts just ice your face and all good luck
