Question: Broke tooth, what should i do til the dentist appointment?
yea, i broke the bottom part of my tooth off, either there was a filling there or the actual tooth broke i don't remember, but the inside is exposed and i'm not sure what to do until the dentist appointment in 2 weeks. any tips other than obvious brushing? thanks!

I would not do anything if it does not hurt. If you attempt to close the “hole” you may create a situation that could be painful. If the tooth is broken into the nerve, closing the opening could create the bacteria in the tooth to cause infection to extrude through the root tip, which would be painful. Keep the area as clean as possible. If the tooth does hurt, I would call my dentist and insist that he see you the same day!
