My gums are bleeding and receding! help!!?!

Question: My gums are bleeding and receding! help!!?
Never had any tooth problems, not even a filling! but two weeks ago my gums started to bleed, since then they have receded and are swollen. I have got a new soft tooth brush, im flossing more and using mouth wash. Even gargled warm salt water. Have dentist in two days but is there anything else that I can do?
I love my teeth and my smile and have never been embarrassed about my teeth before because they are white and straight. Now all i want to do is cry because im scared of loosing them.

Im only 20 and they have not bled since i was a kid. Could alot of damage been done in two weeks?

And whats the cause and what can i do?

I just went to the dentist yesterday and what you have is gingivitus. My gums were bleeding and small pockets of gums were swollen - it means you're not flossing and using preventative measures.

I brush twice a day and all that, but still had bleeding gums. Your dentist will give you a thorough cleaning and probably see if you have an infection with the inflamation - but your gums will stop bleeding after he's cleaned the gums. You need to have a professional cleaning every 6 months on the dot or you're not really getting them CLEAN.
And one you've gotten the cleaning, keep brushing your teeth even if they bleed - my dentist said it will stop in a few days, but KEEP FLOSSING and brushing and keep food from getting into your gums.
You may have never had a problem because food and plaque was always sitting in your gums building up - now you're suffering from inadequate oral care, like I did. The cleaning is a bit annoying, but worth it in the end.

well do you vist your dentist regularly? As of right now do you have any cavites? Do you need to get any teeth pulled out? It looks like you have been brushing your teeth twice a day idk...sorry i owuld vist my dentist! good luck!?
