Question: Invisalign vs Braces-Cost? Time?
What is the average cost for each, and the time it would to in comparison to eachother.
My teeth are getting pushed together, so i will need either of those to space them out.
With a simple pushing back which would take longer (i expect invisalign) but, about how much longer.

Ok so I have Invisalign but not braces so I can give you exact timing and numbers and give guestimates for braces from people I know. Invisalign on avarage costs $4000-$6000. Mine was $5500 and I wear it for a year and a half. Your cost will fall within that range depending on how bad your teeth are, the worse will be higher and the best would be lower. As for the cost of braces, when my sister had them she paid $3000, and got her clear retainer for free within this fee.
As for timing, for me it is taking an extra six months for me to use Invisalign then it would have for braces. It also takes a while for the whole process to get finished. I had my consultation in May and molds in May and didn't get my Invisalign on until the end of July! Where as braces you just make an appointment after your impressions and consultation and there you go.
I would imagine the invisalign would take longer.But as far as cost I think the metal braces are cheaper. The invisialign was going to cost me a little over 5,000 but the metal were only 4,200 and I had them on from june 2007 to feb 2009 and I had a really bad bottom tooth that was FAR back from the others so that took time and my bite was kinda of off and my top werent that bad but my front 2 were turning in.
