Would it be better to get my teeth pulled all at once or so many every month?!

Question: Would it be better to get my teeth pulled all at once or so many every month?
I will be honest with you I can't afford much but I wanted to get dentures and was wandering if there would be any problem pulling my teeth every month like flattening of the gums.

Answers:

I think the previous answer missed the point of your question. Let me see if I can help.

First things first: Are you sure you need full dentures? If there are still some good teeth in your mouth, you should look into the possibility of getting a partial, and leave the good teeth alone.

But if you need full dentures, you are better off getting them all out as quickly as possible. If you have them pulled once a month, it will be many months before you are ready for the dentures. That means you will have fewer and fewer teeth, which will make eating and speaking more difficult. Better to get the dentures in as soon as possible, once the teeth are gone.

Talk to your dentist. It may be possible to put off the dentures for awhile, so that you can get the money together to get all your work done at once (or at least fairly quickly once you start). And make doubly sure that you can't just have partials, which would avoid the problem altogether.

Good luck, and I hope this helps.

If you don't need your teeth extracted then no dentist will extract them . Extractions must be clinically justified. Nothing is as good as your own teeth believe me so try and keep your own teeth by getting them restored and filled. To go from wearing no denture to wearing a full top and bottom plate is very very difficult. Most people start off with a part plate that has a few teeth on it and clips onto your back teeth, this is more stable and good for chewing. If over the years you need more teeth out then add ons and put on the denture slowly. You haven't stated your age so I am sorry for being negative but if you are under 30 then by the age of 50 your gums would have shrunk so much from wearing dentures from an early age for 20 years every day then you will NOT be able to wear one at all ever. Dentures and gums at the age of around 50-60 is the ideal age as a good 20 years wear is all you need.
I work and live in the UK and to have 32 teeth extracted and a full denture on the NHS would cost around £368.00 if done under the same run of treatment. If the treatment was spread out then it can cost loads at each visit. Please go to a dentist and see how bad or good things are before being hasty.
