Don't worry, they only say that becasue if you suck threw a straw, and the wound in still weak ( hasnt healed over) if you suck too hard it may bleed, BUT if it didnt bleed youll be just fine, trust me, i just got 5 teeth pulled.. like a coupld hours ago, but ull be fine, just dont d it again just in case alright? :)

The worry is not that the negative pressure from using the straw will cause bleeding. The worry is that you'll force the blood clot out of the socket. If that happens you will get a dry socket. Dry socket is a condition that causes a very intense, diffuse pain. Nothing makes it better except additional treatment. The technical name for it is alveolitis.
If you use a straw it doesn't mean you will have a dry socket for certain. It just increases the chance by a lot. If in about two days you experience the symptoms above, go to the dentist again.
