Question: Will they give me the nitrous oxide before or after the injection?
I an absolutely terrified of the injections that they put into your gums.. it hurts like crap and is not fun. So my question is, are they going to give me the oral sedative and laughing gas BEFORE they do the injections?
Answers:
Normally when they do sedative dentistry they do not give Novocaine to numb the area. I had two wisdom's taken out and they didn't give me a shot, just the gas. I would not do it, because I didn't get the full dose of the gas and well, it hurt. a lot. Don't be afraid of the needle, usually they apply a topical local numbing agent to the gum before the give you Novocaine anyway. I hope everything goes well!
