Gum over wisdom tooth kills. Help?!

A few days ago I noticed my lower left wisdom tooth hurt but then I noticed that it was actually the gum that was partially over it. There's gum partialy over my other wisdom tooth but it doest hurt. It really hasn't seemed to be any less painful and I can only chew on my right side. It doesn't look swollen but I don't know. The gum is actually looser but still very much intact unlike the other wisdom tooth the doesn't hurt. What could this be?
