Wisdom tooth extraction without anesthetic, gas, IV, painkillers ...?!

Question: Wisdom tooth extraction without anesthetic, gas, IV, painkillers ...?
Has anyone just had a non-cracked wisdom tooth pulled out? No anesthetic, nitrous / laughing gas, IV or any type of painkiller ...?
I have a high threshold of pain (but not completely devoid of sensation) and wanted to know if just having the tooth pulled out is an option.

I sure wouldn't recommend it. I thought I had a very high threshold as well until I had some dental work done without any. The nerves in the roots of the teeth are very sensitive and even though the pain won't last too long, it is intense for about 10 minutes. There was less pain when a bolt I cut off with a torch fell into my boot and burnt a hole in the side of my leg nearly to the bone. Dental work is just not worth having done without the sedation.

Why would you want to do that? If it's just a matter of pulling the tooth, you wouldn't need anesthesia, but no painkillers? Ouch.
