Does the pain come from the teeth moving or from the trays themselves. If you have pain from your teeth moving, this is pretty normal, it should hurt for the first three days. You could take an advil or a mild painkiller for it. If it is from the tray, you could file the area if it is sharp, or even cut it slightly if it is digging into your gums. If it continues to hurt, then call your dentist.

The first couple days i had my trays, they hurt really bad, even when they were out. Same with when i tried to take them out. After about a week, my teeth were fine. If they hurt very bad after a week or so, i would call your dentist.

own experience. (:

Call your dentist, as pain indicates something is different, and possibly needs corrected now. In the meantime, you could take them out, no.
