I have a dental question this has been bugging me!?!

Question: I have a dental question this has been bugging me!?
I have had bad teeth my whole life. In the past 2 weeks I have had to have 4 teeth pulled. The dentist said I could get implants and my medical card will cover it. I got a 2nd opinion and was told that if I want implants then I will have to pay for them myself. What is the truth on this situation?

You will have to speak with the company or agency that provides your dental coverage. There are very different rules in different regions. The rules may also differ based on a LOT of factors, including:

The dentist's insurance affiliation

The dentist's qualifications to perform the procedures in question

What type of implants you choose

If it's the same dentist who pulled the teeth or one s/he referred you to, v. a different one altogether

How the dentist submits the paperwork - if s/he submits it as medically necessary v. cosmetic

Which teeth were pulled - sometimes work on the front teeth is covered, but side teeth are considered cosmetic

How long ago the work was done - if you have the implants now it may be covered, while if you wait a year it may go into being considered pre-existing.

Good luck, just take a deep breath, call the agency, and be prepared to ask and answer a lot of questions!

WHAT COUNTRY DO YOU LIVE IN?
if in the usa, you are in trouble. and big expenses.

if u are in britain, then, go for it. and have them pay for it.

but, all dental work, can be a big pain in the mouth. and wallet.
