Chipped incisor tooth has been filled, but the filling always comes out about on!

Question: Chipped incisor tooth has been filled, but the filling always comes out about once a year.?
I have had this chip on my left incisor tooth in the top of my mouth since 2000. It had been filled pretty much yearly, it always chips out. I go to the dentist, but it comes out. Are there any permanent solutions to this problem? I wear a night guard to prevent grinding.

Hi
It is a very tricky area to retain a filling, the first composite filling you get is the strongest, as it relies on a chemical adhesion to attach to the tooth, each subsequent filling just has not got the strength, you really should look at getting a porcelain veneer, or if the chip is too big a porcelain crown, get a couple of opinions.

Has your dentist never drilled a pin in your incisor, so that the composite material has something to adhere to?
As mentioned before, you might have to get a veneer if all else fails
