There are a lot of good, cheap tooth whitening products out there. Head for the ones based on peroxide, as they will work without damaging your teeth. Whitening toothpastes will remove stains, but cannot whiten the body of your teeth as there just isn't enough active ingredient in them, and its not in contact with your teeth for long enough.

The strips are a big waste of money(in my experience anyway).

You need a toothpaste that specifically says it's for whitening. Something like Sensodyone Pronamel or Colgate total plus whitening. That in combo with using a mouthwash twice a day(morning and night) that helps to whiten and remove stains by helping to eliminate bacteria.

(*Also,it helps if you stay away from drinks with caffeine,and brush after eating foods that are harsh on tooth enamel,such as citrus fruits.)
