Anyone else brush their teeth only once a week?!

Question: Anyone else brush their teeth only once a week?
I've heard everyone say that people should brush their teeth at least 2-3 times a day. I, however, only brush once a week and have been doing so for almost thirty years. And I have no dental problems whatsoever; no cavities or gingivitis or any of that. And my breath doesn't smell, either. Does anyone else do this?

That's really dependent on the person. I never really cared for dental hygiene when I was younger. When i was 12, I had a root canal. Now, I do brush 2-3 times a day. Though plaque and all on your teeth is purely disgusting. That, you won't be able to get rid of unless brushing your teeth. The color must be horrid as well. While your breath, you can't decide for yourself. You may have a cavity and not even know it. And gingivitis, you may just not even be brushing your teeth well enough.

Someone needs to grow up a bit.

In your case, it's a genetic advantages over the rest of us where you have extra strong decay resistant teeth, however people should not copy what you are doing because this condition is very rare, and could cause people in losing their teeth over a period of only a few years.
To the OP, I'd advise you to brush at least once a day. Do this: use your tongue to feel your teeth, is there a slimy and smooth layer on them (this is what it feels like after your brush, where there is little plaque residue on the teeth), however if you feel a rough surface - then I'd advice you to brush more often as the plaque layer is building up.

Finally, It is an added advantage also, if you live in a water fluoridated area where fluoride helps with the process of fixing teeth, preventing decay, and altering plaque bacteria processes.

That is not normal. you need to brush 3 times a day and floss twice a day.

That is really bad for your teeth and if I don't know any better you will get cavities some time soon!
