It is about 5 days or a week. The swelling will increase in size and max at the third day and will reduce after that. To faster the swelling go down apply cold ice pack, eat ice cream or drink cold drink. If is not heal during 1 week maybe there is an infection to the tooth socket and review by dentist is needed.

3 days... but you won't be able to eat solids for 2 weeks so expect to lose a few pounds.
