How to stop needing dentil fillings?!

Question: How to stop needing dentil fillings?
Im 16 and i'v already had 4 fillings and last time i went to the dentist they said i might have to have 2 more, i dont understand how i need them all the time when i brush my teeth twice a day and spend atleast 10 mins brushing. My dad goes about 3 days without brushing his teeth(disgusting i know) but he's never had to have a filling?! its the same for my sister aswell she never needs one and she brushes every other day, I dont undrestand?! And im always needing fillings and i want a way to try and avoid them, does anyone know?

i know the feeling, i've looked after mine all my life, and i need so much work doing to them including fillings, already had an extraction, and 1 filling but the cavity was so deep the dentist would only do the one at that time, and i have really looked after them, my husband on the other hand, has neglected his teeth, he used to go days without brushing (before i met him and made him) and his teeth are perfect. it drives me crazy. so as far as i can tell, if you don't look after them they look after themselves. i considered it too, but can't bring myself to do it. too disgusting. when i asked the dentist, she just said she see's it all the time, people who brush often actually take the first layer of the enamel off so your teeth are more open to infection and other stuff, because toothpaste is too harsh and so are the brushes. she said to me, the best brush is actually a very soft baby brush. sorry i couldn't help much more.

Watch what youre eating. If youre having too many sugars in your diet you will get cavities. Are you sure you are cleaning efficiently enough? Do you clean in between the teeth ie floss? Are you sure theres anough fluoride content in your toothpaste? 1350-1500PPM fluoride, shown under ingrediants.
4 factors for decay, tooth surface, sugars, plaque and times. Remove the plaques efficiently and eat less sugars and you will be fine. The bacterias in plaque dont care what type of sugar it is, whether its fizzy drinks, no added sugar squash (still has sugar) water and milk are safe (but NOT milkshakes)
Bicuits sweets cakes jams all have sugar, most yoghurts too. try to have sugary things after dinner, drink milk and healthy snacks throughout the day. You teeth can only cope with so many sugar attacks a day before the sugar and bacteria win.
