how long do silver (amalgam) fillings usually last? or is it because the dentist!

Question: How long do silver (amalgam) fillings usually last? or is it because the dentist was bad?
i had two molar teeth fixed by one dentist twice, but i don't know if he has bad skills or if because they are molar teeth, neither of them lasted more than a few years. he is getting worse, because the last one didn't last more than 2 years, i think.

and the surface don't look smooth, they are like paintings, one stroke after another stroke.

on the other hand, i had a incisor filled with amalgam right next to those 2 teeth, this one has lasted 10 years already. the edge is still smooth and tight.

so i wonder if that is normal work, or if because this particular dentist is bad?

Silver amalgam restorations last a lot longer then composite resins. Composites last from 20 to 25 years. After that they have to be replaced.
