I'm sorry but hearing this makes me want to have a very serious "Come to Jesus" meeting with your parents. It was their responsibity to take you to the dentist regularly so that your teeth didn't get in this condition. This is considered medical neglect and they could be reported for not getting you proper dental care. This just makes me so angry to hear.

I'm sorry but there isn't anything you can do to cover your teeth. There is something called a snap in smile, but the ones that I've dealt with are made by a dental lab and you have to have an impression taken by a dentist first. I believe they are around $500.00.

EDIT: DO NOT take Emily's advice! You should NEVER whiten your teeth when you have decay. First off, the decay will not whiten. Second, it will cause you horrible pain to put whitening gel on decay. DON'T DO IT!

EDIT #2: Honey, I know you want to defend your parents, that is only natural. However, you are only 13 years old. At your age, your parents are 100% responsible for your dental care. If they had been taking you to the dentist every 6 months AND were getting any cavities you had fixed, there would have been no reason for you to need to have 8 teeth pulled. That is extreme! The last time I saw that, it was on a 7 year old and believe me, we educated his parents on their lack of care. Even if they thought you were brushing your teeth, you should have been taken for regular check ups. There is no way that if they were doing that, you would have gotten to this point. At your age, your front teeth are your adult teeth. How did they not see they were rotted? If they had taken you to the dentist 6 months ago, unless you went to a total quack dentist, you wouldn't have developed these kinds of problems.

I respect that you are taking responsibility for not brushing, that is commendable. However, you are a minor and ultimately it comes down to your parents. Truthfully, if your teeth are as bad as you say, a dentist could report your parents and CPS would investigate them for medical neglect, no matter what reasons they gave.

My suggestion is this, go to your parents, show them your teeth, and if they have not made arrangements to get your teeth fixed within the next 2 months, I ask that you contact me on here and I'll try to offer you a suggestion of what to do next.

Practice in the mirror how you talk, try to cover your upper lip if anything. It's hard to get used to though. Never wear lipstick that makes your teeth stand out as well. Maybe always read a book to cover your mouth? OR, print out the paper and cover your entire face with the paper so they can't see you talking?

Tricky one, or maybe if you're trying to show something on the board turn around and talk, so they only see the back of your head. Then when you turn back around to see your face cover your face with your piece of paper you typed out! That sounds about okay! :)

Practice speaking in a mirror and try to cover your teeth with your lips. And when you are giving your report, try not to smile unless you have your mouth closed, then nobody will see them.

I had the same problem! Get those whitening stripes and in about 1 hour your teeth will look as white as white can be
