Will an impacted eye tooth grow in by itself ? ?!

Question: Will an impacted eye tooth grow in by itself ? ?
So I am 15 and I have had braces for about 4 years. My teeth are straight but my left eye tooth will not grow in. It was impacted but it straightened itself out and not looks straight and ready to grow in. But it's not growing in. Should I get the surgery to pull it down or is this useless now because I already waited so long for it I might as well wait some more. Oh and I am deathly afraid of surgery. How long would it take to grow in by itself ? It is right at the gum line just not exposed yet. Thanks.

If it was diagnosed as "impacted" then by definition it is stuck and will not grow in. This tooth should have been in 3-5 years ago. At your age there is still plenty of time to have it pulled into place. As it is now it probably not come in on it's own. I think you should have the surgery done.
