how do dentists fix tiny tiny cavities?!

Question: How do dentists fix tiny tiny cavities?
it wasn't there a few days ago. but after eating some blueberry, i found a piece stuck on one of my molar teeth. i had to use a needle in order to get it out.

it is about the size of between O and o.

if i go to the dentist to have it fixed, s/he probably will have to drill a bigger hole in order to put the fillings in, right?

for such a tiny hole, how do dentists usually fix them? same as regular cavities?

can they put on some dental sealant to seal it? that seems to be a better idea for me.

Answers:

Yes, same as a regular cavity. To clean up the cavity, the area they will remove wont' be that much. The will fit it with an amalgam (silver) or composite (white) filling. You don't want to put a selant on a cavity that has already broken through to the enamel surface. Plus, sealants are only on the biting surface of the tooth.

I am a DA

No. They'd be able to I believe. I had a really tiny cavity and they finished filling it in for around 5-10 minutes.
