Question: My braces caused me to get an underbite?
i had braces from february 2009 to april 2010 and it caused me to have a horrible underbite. When i say the letter s, my jaw pushes outwards and i look ugly. Please tell me what i can do! Also i had a wire on my bottom 4 teeth, but it caused a gap so my mom helped me remove it, now my gap closed. But when i wear my retainer my gums smell up and i have an even worse underbite... Pls tell me what i can do? Thanks, xoxo

Like I keep on saying here, never self diagnose, treat or medicate. You should never try and remove fixed braces yourself. It can cause irreversible damage. You need to see a professional Dental Surgeon/orthodontist to sort that out.

If your gums are swelling up, you may need to be fitted for a new retainer.
you should go to doctor immediately.
Best thing is to talk to your dentist. They should have a solution for that.
