What do I do if my Dental Crown falls off?!

Question: What do I do if my Dental Crown falls off?
I had a root canal 2 weeks ago, and I had the crown put on 3 days ago. Yesterday it chipped and I got an appointment to get it repaired next week. However, today while I was eating it shattered in my mouth. When looking online to see what I should do, the only options seemed to be for people who's crowns fall off in one piece. My dentist won't be open for 3 days. So my real question is what care should I provide the tooth for the time being? Do I have to stick to soft foods or anything like that? I don't want the tooth itself to shatter or anything.

Thanks

I've had that happen to me and I would not eat wih that tooth. If the tooth shows a lot and you must go out, just be very careful and don't talk a lot because the vibration in your mouth can make it fall out. It's happened to me. Call your dentist immediately even if you have to leave a message and he should fit you in asap. If this is a permanent crown you need to be assertive and tell your doctor that it needs to be replaced and you are only paying for it one time.

well since your dentist office won't be open for 3 days
just avoid using the side of your mouth where the tooth is
there really is not anything you can do about it
maybe you can find a dentist office that is open to have the problem fixed
any other dentist should know how to fix the problem

Oh see a Dentist Immediately eat soft food potatoes and and stuff dont chew on it really make sure your super careful see your Dentist soon as you can good luck

I would suggest you making an appt with your dentist hopefully this help (:
hope everything gets better for you.!
