What makes a person want to be a dentist?!

Question: What makes a person want to be a dentist?

Honestly, not to sound rude but do they just love teeth or something? It would be such a gross job IMO. Thoughts and opinions?

Good Money some people Like think its a great interest and some people like to help people with there smiles and help make peoples pain the caring is what matters and they make good money in there career ahead of them

It seems both gross and disgusting. Plus nobody respects you as a doctor (Even if you are one), so it seems to defeat the purpose of medical school (Which is all about being able to impress people by saying your a doctor, right?)

They enjoy asking you questions then watching you struggle to talk with their hands in your mouth.

Free dental care? I actually plan on being a dental assistant in the USAF. I'm just doing it for job security though.

I think they get good money so that maybe why lol
