hit in tooth and it moved a bit, will it move back into its old alignment?!

Question: Hit in tooth and it moved a bit, will it move back into its old alignment?
i hit it, went to the dentist and he x-rayed and said it would be fine and might move back into place [he didn't want to do anything towards correcting it for me :(] any experience of this anyone? its my front right tooth and im really upset about it. will it move back in time? its been a week tomorrow since it happened.

Answers:

Its hard to say. Just be warned that trauma to the tooth like that may cause it to 'die'. Watch out for things like the tooth changing colour (going darker compared to the one next to it) sensetivity to hot things. Ache/throbs. These are all signs that the tooth has died and you will need root canal treatment.
This may not happen for 10 years it may happen next week, it may not happen at all but just be aware.
With regards to the tooth moving, u will just have to wait and see.
