When getting braces???????!

i have braces myself and i haven't had to have any adult teeth pulled at all. i did however have to have one baby tooth pulled because i couldn't get it out myself and i hardly felt it. and my braces rarely bother me and if they do it is easily resolved. remember these are personal experiences only the doctor can tell you if u may have have teeth pulled. good luck :)

No. They will never pull out your adult teeth. Braces is for your adult teeth. They move your teeth around for permanence... the only time they will pull teeth is baby teeth. Sometimes they may put braces on baby teeth if they are trying to get your baby teeth to move around so that another tooth can grow in, that's on occasion and will be for different reasons. They will occasionally pull out your baby teeth before putting braces on. Most orthodontists will require baby teeth to be pulled out so that the adult teeth can grow in and your mouth will stay the way it is with all its permanent teeth. There's no sense in putting braces on teeth that will just fall out and then new teeth that are bigger will grow back in and mess up all the hard work. Eventually they find room in your mouth for all the teeth. That's apart of the orthodontists job. They will rarely pull your adult teeth out, what makes you think that? You should talk to your orthodontist.

I have braces :D i am 14 years old, no hun none of your adult teeth will be pulled out UNLESS they're like really jacked up (like in a totally wrong spot or something) now, some of your baby teeth MIGHT be pulled out, but more then likely only if they're loose! does that help?

My experience.... I have had braces a bunch of times only because i had them the first time for like 2years then i got a retainer but couldnt wear it cuz i got bad sick now i have em again for awhile so my teeth can get back to normal :O

Both of my kids had braces. Neither had to have any adult teeth pulled -- tho' both had to have baby teeth (back teeth) pulled before they got their braces. I know that sometimes they pull permanent teeth for braces because there are just more teeth than the mouth can accommodate!

Both my son and daughter ended up with gorgeous teeth. I'm sure you will have the same at the end of your braces!

Probably not. Unless your teeth are really crowded.
