Whats this painful bump inside my mouth?!

Question: Whats this painful bump inside my mouth?
First off I can rule out any STD. I am happily married. :)

Okay.. its a painful bump on my saliva gland (Cheek). I though it might have been a canker sore, cause of the pain, but my husband said its on the gland... So if this is the case, do I need to see a doctor? Will it go away on its own, or are there any home remedies?

Thanks in advance.

OH OK. you're married. you'll never have an std. never ever.

How long have you had it? Im pretty sure it is a canker sore. It sounds like one. They are basically ulcers right? And getting them on the cheek is very common. But dont worry they arent contagious. Normally they will go away by themselves in about 2 weeks at the most, but it may only take a week, 4 days, etc. But if it doesnt its probably a good idea to see a doctor. You can also google pics of canker sores and check and see if it looks similar to yours. One home remedies I read about was to take a little warm water with some salt and a little baking soda and just swish it around your mouth for a few minutes about 2 times a day. But im sure there are plenty more on the internet you can find. Also Try Avoiding foods that irritate your mouth - including acidic or spicy foods, Avoiding irritation from gum chewing, and Brushing with a soft-bristled brush after meals and flossing daily, which will keep your mouth free of foods that might trigger a sore. Get well soon!

My G-friend insisted that I start taking this new pill out for the canker sores I was getting. Well despite their stupid name, the sh** worked, all the way around. I'm their new biggest fan. Anyway, it's called The Canker Spanker, no joke - don't get me started on their name.

If it's on the gland it's probably best to go see a dentist. He may have to drain it or give you an antibiotic.
