I have an infected molar and no insurance!!?!

Question: I have an infected molar and no insurance!!?
Ok so Ive had this molar that has been broken for awhile. Like half of the tooth is gone. I havent done anything about it cuz i have no insurance. well it hurts really bad and the pain shoots through my gums to the side of my tongue and down my throat a little bit. I also cant chew on that side of my mouth. IDK what to do. Idk if its somethin i should just wait to go away or if i should go to the ER even though i know theyd prob be mad cuz its not a life or death situation really. but i have no other choice i think cuz i have no insurance. What should I do?

Ok...Here's what you do. Call the "Out Patient Clinic" of the nearest Dental School. The "Clinic" provides dental services direct to the public and the cost will be between Free and very low depending on your financial status.Good luck and I wish you well...

Did you know that you have the "Triangle of Death"? Few people have ever heard the term or know that it is a real description of a real area......and YOU have it.

Draw an imaginary line from the outside of one eye across your forehead to the outside of the other eye....Now draw an imaginary line from the outside of the eyes down to the corners of the mouth until they meet in the center of your chin.....You have just drawn the Triangle of Death.

That area is so named because within that area lies structures that are prone to infection. The areas are the mouth (teeth), the nose (sinuses) and the eyes. All of which are known to become extremely infected for various reasons...All of those structures lie very close to the brain and an infection from any one of those areas can get dumped directly into the blood stream or work it's way up to the brain. Infection in the blood stream can also be fatal if you happen to be someone with a cardiac (heart) problem....Because of that issue alone blood producing procedures should never be performed in the mouth, such as extractions or root canals, without the patient first having been on a schedule of antibiotics prior to the procedures.

Infection from bad teeth have been documented to have been released into the blood stream and went directly to the heart causing death....That same scenario could take place byway of a serious infection within the boundaries of the Triangle of Death. Infection within the Triangle of Death can be fatal if untreated thus preventing it from reaching the brain, heart or other vital organs.

Your nerve is exposed and that is whats causing the shooting pains. A nasty abscess can develop if this tooth is not taken out asap. I think the weird bump you mean is an abscess. I would go to the ER today, dont care what they think or say, an infection will only get worse an spread.

I am a dental nurse in the UK

girl im in the same boat but im getting humana.....you should get it too ,,,its only 18 dollar a month and the plan is a great one....it only cost 45-50 to have it pulled......i have a broken molar and had a bump under it....its an abscess ...lucky me mines when away but i ended up losing all my breast milk due to taking so much meds for the pain.....if yu cant afforded the insurance then the dentist have an emergency show up plan but i rather you just get humana y pay 100-150 for one appointment when you can pay 18.00 to be seen and treated for the infection for free.
