I never liked needles or shots so I always got really scared! But let me tell you... I went through the same thing and now that I look back on it, it was scary, but it was bearable.

The actual pulling of teeth doesn't hurt because they numb you up. The needles just feel like a pinch. They are uncomfortable and they just hurt for a couple seconds, but after that the amnesia takes over and you won't feel a thing!
Don't worry! I got 2 wisdom teeth and 4 additional teeth pulled out before I got my braces. :)

If you tell them that you are scared of needles, they will more than likely swab the area they are going to stick with lidocaine, which will numb that area and you won't even feel the needle stick you.

You'll be okay, but as the numbing goes away (a few hours after you're done) you may need a mild pain reliever.

I had 4 of my teeth pulled a week ago for the same reason. The worse part are the needles they sting like hell! They then wait until your mouth is numb and you can't feel anything. It doesn't hurt when they pull and it out it takes about 15 seconds per tooth. The worst part of the 15 seconds is that you feel a lot of pressure and cracking, which freaked me out :S.

they dont hurt they just prick like the only reason they hurt is cause you are scared when i was 6 i had agrown up tooth growing in behind my baby so they had to pull 5 teeth i didnt cry i didnt even know wat was going on i just felt this tingley feeling and said mommy what are they doing and she said they are pulling a few teeth i said oh okay whatever so long story short nothin to wrry bout

hi. so honestly after they give you the shot which is basically king like a finger prick....but for your gums.....after that your gums are numb, and you cant feel a thing!

Yup, I got knocked out so i couldnt feel it but it sure hurt afterwards! They give you pain killers though, so don't worry about it. Everyone has to do it sometime lol.
