Pain after molar removed?!

Question: Pain after molar removed?
I was woken up with what felt like an ice pick being driven through my far back x molar. I had a wisdom tooth pulled years ago on that side with no issues and last year I had the tooth in front of that pulled. I know about Fantom pain. I have had it on and off with all the work I have been getting done on my other side. But this required me to go to the hospital. I could feel it ebbing and then stab. I had to hold onto my jaw. I felt like I was going to black out. Sometimes it would last about 30 seconds or sometimes out of nowhere. WHile in the hospital it seemed like it was slowly going away for about 20 minutes but then it came again in full force about every couple minutes. After about 4 hours of this I was really messed up. I was given adivan but refused the gravel. They xrayed my whole head and did blood work. Everthing was fine. I was concerned as I thought it might be a blood clot. Though I knew the pain was directly where that tooth was pulled a year ago.

I was given a Trigeminal Neuralgia Fact Sheet. I dont know if that is what i have. I woke up from my pain. And the pain was nowhere but in that area where the tooth is no longer. Not on my face, head, or skin.

Any help here?
