Is sparkling water ok for teeth?!

Question: Is sparkling water ok for teeth?
Or should I brush my teeth after wards? Does it have anything in it that can cause tooth decay?

I don't think so. Any acid or acid-like substance should be bad for teeth. What I usually do (if I don't have much time and miss toothbrushing) is that I cook some sugar-free herbal tea (camomile or sage for example) and try to rinse my mouth with that. I feel that it helps (maybe effective after drinking sparkling water too).

Sparkling water should not cause tooth decay as long as it doesn't contain sugar. As far as I know true sparkling water has no sugar and is not acidic. One long term consideration, any carbonated beverage can cause enamel erosion due to the fact that the chronic bubbling action on the teeth can wear it down, such as when water waves can polish stones over a long period of time. But it would take a long time and alot of carbonated water.
