why wont my parents get me braces?!

Question: Why wont my parents get me braces?
my parents got my older sister braces when she needed them, & i have been asking them to get me braces since i was 13. (im 19 now)
when i was 17 i asked them why they keep putting it off, & they didnt give me a straight answer, then i asked "are you just putting it off & waiting untill im 18 so im not your responsibility anymore so you wont have to pay for it?" & they said no, the will get them for me soon. well now im 19 & still covered under their dental insurance, but they still wont get them for me. its not because they cant afford it, they have a nice car, & go out to eat all the time & they got my sister braces, so why not me??? my feelings are really hurt about it. i also have TMJ (jaw problems) that my dentist said could have been prevented if i got braces when i was younger, & braces might help with my jaw alignment.
i guess this was just a vent more than a question, im just upset about it.... why would they get my sister braces & not me? do you think its my responsibility to pay for my own braces now that im over 18, or do you think they should since the have been promising me & they should have had it done a long time ago & its not fair my sister had them & i cant?

I think deeper issues are at work here.

Women; Competition, Envy and Revenge.

do you actually need them or are do you just want them because your sister had them?

if the answer is that you actually need braces, then it is bad parenting/ignorance.

oh sorry i didnt feel read the question, idk why they didnt get you them, confront them and shout. SHOUT I TELL YOU.

*fully not feel, wtf i cant type english in the morning.

Nope its your parents responsibility. If I were you I would confront them asap!!! My parents also kicked me out :( . I think it was bc I was better at arguing and I always won lol. Make sure you get your point across when confronting them! Good luck

Didn't you ask this question before? I believe everyone told you to get them yourself as you are an adult now.

I don't know why, but your sister and not you getting them was unfair. I am sorry. I hope you get them soon.

I get how u feel. Same thing happened to me. Now that ur of age its time that u take your own action and put your wishes in your own hands rather than focusing on what's fair. Dental insurance usually only covers about 1k towards ortho..and braces can cost 3-5k. What I did was set up an appt for the coonsult myself and gave them my insurance info...at the end od the consult we went over the cost, and they verified with the insurance company what all will be covered and they were able to set me up with a private payment plan for the rest. Most dentists will do this with braces because if u stop paying..then they can just stop the work. :) once my mom saw me with the braces..she felt kinda bad and even insisted. Upon helping me with the payments. Good luck.
