It depends on what type of partial they will be making for you. The strongest is a chromed based partial with an acrylic cover, which resembles the gums, and of course the teeth. These “Chrome Partials” run between $950.00 and 1700.00 depending on the area of the country you live in, the lab, and the material the teeth are made our of. There is also a type of partial call a “Valplast” partial that does not have any metal in it. The base is made out of a natural tissue looking, rubbery type of material. They are stronger than they sound and are very comfortable to wear. These “Valplast” Partials run from around $900.00 to $1500.00. The least adequate, least comfortable and easiest to damage is called a “Flipper”. Flippers are usually only used as temporary partials worn while a patient is healing. These usually only last from 3 to 6 months. These “Flippers” run around $600.00 to $800.00. Your insurance should pay around 50% of the cost of the partial. Partials are usually considered “major” procedures, which on most insurance plans are covered at 50%. Good Luck!
