Is bleeding after wisdom teeth removal normal after 5 days?!

Question: Is bleeding after wisdom teeth removal normal after 5 days?
I am now at the start of day five, and my bottom two teeth that were impacted are bleeding. They weren't really bleeding much at all any of the other days, but I looked in the mirror and my molars had blood all over the tops of them. It's not really gushing, just kind of oozing, but I'm not sure if that's normal after this much time? I've been rinsing salt water 2-3 times a day, brushing my teeth gently and carefully 2-3 times a day, have been icing my cheeks daily, and haven't drank from a straw.

Am I paranoid?

.Not At All Go Back To The Doctor.!

I hope you havent been rinsing TOO much.. you could have washed away the blood clot that is supposed to form. Call your DDS and tell them that. Go in for a post op check to make sure. You dont want to get Dry Socket... it hurts !!!

Be sure to call the dentist and let them know you are bleeding. Now in the mean time take a tea bag ( regular tea) wet it and put it where the teeth were removed and bite down on it. That should stop the bleeding.

yeah, I agree. You should probably call your surgeon. Not so normal. Good luck babe, wisdom teeth suck. :(

Nope call the surgeon
