but i am very very upset and worried about this and was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiance and what you think the dentist will recomend
i may also add that i have been using enamal care toothpaste and since noticing this have been brushing my teeth 3 times a day with it to try and help whilst ive been waiting for my appointment

Wow simon bit strong! Unless its a massive amount of enamel missing that is causing pain, caries and other issues there will be no pulling going on.
Loss of enamel can mean over brushing or too much acid in your diet such as coke and fizzy drinks or sugary sweets and fruits such as oranges and lemons.
The enamel care toothpaste is good and if the enamel patches are causing you sensitivity the dentist may fill them with a light material to stop the pain, this usually involves no injections or drilling just application of a light paste that will set hard. In the worst cae where you have got a little decay, a small filling may be required but these are by no means painful and sometimes done without a shot.
Loss of enamel means the tooth is more open to becoming decayed as the tooths next and softer layer is exposed, so just be sure to brush twice a day normally - not too hard or soft, and restrict fizzy drinks etc to after meals (this buffers the effect of the acid)
Dont worry about tomorrow, thw most you can expect is a few surface fillings and maybe the suggestions of a sensitivity toothpaste.
I am a dentist
i know you may think you are doing good by brushing three times a day , but you are actually doing more harm than good. my brother was doing this and the dentist told him to stop it straight away as it harms your teeth more . the dentist said you should only brush twice a day that is enough.
There is no way to replace lost enamel. How ever it can be built up with composite resin, or porcelain veneers.
He might fill them or pull them out
