Can I still get dry socket?!

Question: Can I still get dry socket?
I the two wisdom teeth on my left side pulled a week ago. I think I may be coming down with something and have been sneezing frequently today. Am I still at risk for the clot to come out and get dry socket? I have heard it's majorly painful and would like to avoid it as much as possible. When can I eat popcorn again?

Answers:

You're pretty much out of the woods but they can still occur two to three weeks later depending on the size of the holes.

Stay away from popcorn for a while. The husks are non-disolvable. If they get stuck in the socket and the tissues heal over it then you will get an infection.

You should be fine now. And you should be able to eat popcorn as well.
