Question: How long do I keep my pallet expander in?

I have a pallet expander and I just finished cranking it...How long after I'm done do I have to keep it in?

i think my brothers was kept in for several months after it was done expanding. but, since i don't know the specifics, to know for sure just ask your ortho at your next appt. :)
