It depends on how badly it's broken and which tooth it is. If it's a wisdom tooth then it will most likely be pulled. Otherwise, dentists usually try hard to save the tooth. In which case you would get a cap instead of getting it pulled.
Go to a dentist! DO NOT RIP IT OUT! If it's your baby tooth then rip it out other wise you will have to get a fake piece to replace the chipped part! it will look as if it never happened.

It depends how bad it is. Give more details. Did the tip just chip off? Is it a molar? More than likely you will only have to get it filled.
