Wisdom Teeth problems?!

Question: Wisdom Teeth problems?
Hi! Please someone help me as I am really worried! My wisdom teeth have been coming through for about 2 years now. My top ones are pretty much all through however my bottom ones are only half through and are quite sore as they have gaps in them and food is always getting stuck in them. They have been like this for a year but I am too scared to go to the dentist. The gum is half over both of them. Will I have to have them removed when i go to the dentist?

My mouth is really bugging me at the moment. I am also having a little trouble with my gums but I think its to do with my wisdom teeth. When I brush my teeth sometimes my gums bleed and I will spit out blood. It doesnt happen always but I wondered if me having sensitive teeth has anything to do with it?

I also have a tiny small lump underneath my tongue that has been there for about a year. I think its just a small cist as it is not painful and when i touch it with my tongue i can move it around. It is never painful and never causes me any worries but when you type in small lump on google it brings up all kinds of terrible nightmare situations.

I know you are probably all thinking I should have really gone to the dentist by now but I am a full time student waiting for my certificate of medical exemption to come through as I cant even afford my dentist fees as university is so much. A local standard check around here is £80!!

Any advice would be helpful, Thanks!!!

Answers:

Normally dentists themselves dont remove wisdom teeth. They recommend you to a specialist whose job it is to remove them. And wisdom teeth are just very painful, and pain could mean they are impacted. But they can be removed without them being grown in all the way. Because my mouth is small I had mine pulled as soon as they broke the surface so they didn't ruin all the work and money I had put in to make my teeth straight. The surgery wasn't bad, you just can't eat for three days...

As far as with the tongue, see your dental professional. It's hard to diagnos anything without examaning it, and what can be said are only guesses to the actual problem. Best of luck.

blrrdin is normally a sign of bacteria in that area which make gums bit sore and inflamed, it means they need more cleanin if they bleed. could b where ur gettin food trapped.
normally ud get advice to keep that area as clean as u can, the top wisdom tooth is normally taken out, and they are very easy, this stops it biting the gum flap over partially errupted lower wisdon tooth, stopping it from getting inflamed and irritated and making pockets 4 food to get trapped in a constant cycle, will slowly allow tooth to somtimes fully erupt or just calm down. the first time u go they may jus clean out the area and give u antibiotics to see if it calms down. but you should really do see the dentist ;)
