Good Teeth Whitening?!

Something i'd like to improve is my teeth, they're white but i sorta want a pearly-er white ya'know?
I have some good toothpaste and i take good care of my teeth. I read that hydrogen-peroxide on the teeth (not of gums or anything else) and baking soda(brushing with) are good?
Do you know any other good home ideas? or if these are bad ideas?
I saw teeth whitener strips at the store... that cost $55- i don't wanna afford that :/
