EATING with braces. :s :s :s?!

Question: EATING with braces. :s :s :s?
I just got braces yesterday and this whole day I have no been able to eat real food. It sucks because im super hungry and am living off soup. I am worried that i will not be able to eat normally....Can you guys give me any tips on how to start eating normally? When will i be able to eat the normal foods? Will it always feel weird? Please help!

Answers:

It will just become natural in a few days. Eventually it will feel completely normal, other than food getting stuck in there every now and then. ;)

Honestly after my teeth started feeling well enough i began to eat everyday foods that you would normally eat and I always broke the rules when it came to what candy or food i wasn't supposed to chew , like i remember when i got my braces off they handed me a bag of things i wasn't supposed to have and i was like uhmm i've been eating all of this the whole time. honestly don't worry about it ! eat what you feel comfortable with , and by NO MEANS starve yourself!

Haha, well I don't have braces but many of my friends do, I know for like the first few weeks you don't need to be eating chewy candy or anything hard, just wait a few weeks or call you orthodontist doctor

It definitely gets better, I was living off Ramen noodles and Slimfast protein shakes to keep myself from starving to death. I'm in my second week of braces now and hardly notice it anymore.

try taking some motrin every time you go *(before you go)* and now whenever it hurts take motrin eat soft then get to hard

i have braces

TAKE ADVIL! lifesaver! 2 pills at most and the weird feeling goes away after a week or so
