I've never been able to put up with the pain any longer than a fortnight so not sure how long it would take to kill you. My cheek swelled up so badly that I needed to have it drained.


Just take the antibiotics. You'll still need treatment after though,Root canal or extraction. As the bacteria will just flare u again until it's all cleaned out properly.

My teeth take it in turns to hurt! I wouldn't mind but I look after them too :(

An abscess will not disappear with antibiotics. Antibiotics may settle it down, but this is temporary.

To get rid of an abscess there are two ............(1) root canal treatment or (2) extraction. If you want to save the tooth, and if it is savable, then root canal.Otherwise it's extraction

Go to a dentist and get a prescription for Amoxicillin (500 mg x 3 times daily) for 10 days..

Brush with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda, not baking powder) and hydrogen peroxide. Mix them together and brush. That's what my dentist recommended.
