Answers:

you should go to doctor.

Very interesting - I have had exactly the same thing happening to me recently when biting nails, on my bottom front teeth.
I asked my dentist and he wasn't all that helpful.
I don't know the answer and don't expect any points for writing this, but just would like to be able to review any answers that you might get.

More than likely you are grinding your teeth at night. Its a wear and tear issue. You could get a professional nightguard from your dentist or buy one at a drug store. The ones from the dentist fit better but are expensive. The drug store ones will work but don't fit as well and are bulky. You might be grinding during the day as well...some people do.

Well, first stop biting ur nails but I doubt that is the cause :)
Most likely you grind ur teeth at night, you might need a mouth guard that you wear when sleeping.
Best visit the dentist who can advice you on the best course of action.

Tongue piercings chip teeth. Make sure your getting enough calcium.
