Why does it take so long to have braces removed?!

Question: Why does it take so long to have braces removed?
So I'm (finally! yaaayyyyy) going to have my braces removed next month, March 28th, and on the lovely little slip of paper my orthodontist office gives out, which tells approximately how long the next appointment will be, it says that appointment will be an hour long. Normally, adjustments only take 20-30 minutes for me, and I was wondering, what will they be doing that will take an hour?

I'm just wondering (:

Answers:

First, they'll remove your wire! (Yay!)

Then they'll use a special gun to pull off each of your brackets painlessly, and lever the bands off of your molars. After that, they need to wear down the glue that's left over on your teeth, and possibly apply a permanent retainer (just a little wire) to the back of your teeth. It doesn't seem that long.

The entire process is kinda fussy, and I don't think you wanna see glue on your teeth! ;)

1.Wire removal
2.Debonding
3.Cleaning and polishing

Well they have to loosen the wires, perhaps cut some wires and than they must remove the stuff on your teeth . I believe they are actually giving you an appro. tie could mve along a lot faster ...Let's keep those fingers crossed
