Is my wisdom tooth extraction site infected??!?!

Question: Is my wisdom tooth extraction site infected??!?
I had my lower right wisdom tooth removed 5 days ago. The first days were agony and my cheek got so swollen it was crazy! 5 days later and i still look like i have a golf ball in my cheek, it doesn't hurt more and the pain has lessened although not by much. My top tooth and lower tooth directly before my wisdom teeth on the side that got removed feel kinda 'sticky' its like as if they're 'sticking' together when i bite down. I can barely open my mouth still, but this is the strange part, the part that hurts the most is my cheek! In fact I have yet2have any pain where the tooth was removed its only in my cheek! My gums feel kinda itchy but my cheek is so painful, it also feels, and looks, like I have a hard lump in the size and shape of a golf ball in my cheek directly where the tooth was removed... I have no funny taste, but i do have bad breath which is probably because i can't brush my teeth properly because i can't open my mouth far enough.. Is there anything i can do? Is it infected??

Answers:

I think your suppose to rinse your mouth out with salt water several times a day to keep it fresh. Put a cold pack on your swollen area 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off all day, it should help...
