How do you know if you grind your teeth?!

Question: How do you know if you grind your teeth?
I noticed that some teeth feel chipped. I have a small crossbite as well, and I noticed little indents where the top teeth meet the bottom teeth. I feel like I've either been grinding at night, or I've been wearing away my teeth. I visited a dentist and she told me my teeth looked normal with no chips or wear. Should I trust her judgement or should I get a second opinion?

Answers:

Most people already know if they grind their teeth. It's really loud and people who do it sound kind of like they're choking while they sleep. Someone probably would have told you by now. And dentists can definitely tell because it is super detrimental to your teeth. Sounds like you're in the clear. If you're still worried, you can wear a mouth guard at night. Hopefully the lack of wear on it will be enough to convince you that you don't grind.

get second opinion...a lot medience proffessionals would lie to just calm you down or make you think you crazy so you go waste money on other medinice. YOU would know suddenly that you are grinding no needing go dentist unless it is damaged, you would know when it is feeling like it is being pressed down by an another tooth last night and you feeling a sore in cheek for grinding with it. Your cheek is tired from all excrise overnight, that why it sore with bones. You would rub on it and said OUCH! Sometimes ppl feel the weakness loose in teeth aafterward.... and know suddenly they gotta buy teeth protection (guard) I wear it sometimes when I feel I got it bad.

the morphology of teeth is somewhat like that. The indents that v have r called pits n fissures. How u came to know that ur teeth are chipping off? Grinding teeth is called bruxism, u can ask someone like ur mom to notice u or tell u if she ever have had noticed u grinding ur teeth while u were asleep. Getting a second openion is also a good option.
