Why do i always have bad breath?!

Question: Why do i always have bad breath?
I brush my teeth almost always morning and night, but whenever I eat something, I always go back to having stinky breath! Whenever I go to the dentist they always say I have a very healthy mouth, but whenever I eat, if I don't have gum, I get bad breath!!

Dental hygienist here. There could be any number of reasons for it, some stated already: your diet, poor brushing, dry mouth, no flossing, post-nasal drip from constant allergies, your tongue, etc. The answer is almost never as simple as "use mouthwash" or "chew gum". Any combination of these things can be the cause, and it takes a combination of things to correct it. Here's some tips:

1. FLOSS! Even if it hurts, even if you bleed. If you're bleeding badly, it's because you have gingivitis at the least, and periodontitis at the worst. The more you do it, the healthier your gums will become, the less it'll bleed, and it'll affect your breath. My recommendation is Glide.

2. Brush well! Circular motions, which most people do, are not an effective form of brushing. Angle your brush towards the gumline, vibrate it back & forth vigorously, then sweep down. This'll help maintain/improve your gum health, further decreasing the breath problem. I recommend Crest Pro Health

3. Mouthwash! Wait a few minutes after brushing before using mouthwash so that you get the maximum effect from your toothpaste, and then rinse well for about a minute. Try not to eat or drink anything for about half an hour after rinsing. I recommend Listerine total care

4. Get a tongue scraper. They're really cheap and can cut down bad breath caused by buildup on your tongue that even brushing doesn't get off sometimes. Any brand works, find one you like

5. Try drinking a cup of kefi once or twice a day. It's basically a yogurt drink, and really helps reduce bad breath caused by all that fun stuff going on in your stomach. This is more of a solution to diet based problems.

it is called hallitosis, or chronic bad breath and is very common, carry gum and or mouthwash with you and breath mints, I feel bad for you, I have a friend with the same problem and that what he does.

maybe there's something going on in your stomach. i've heard bad breath doesn't only come from the mouth, but has some connections to the stomach. e.g., when you don't eat when you're hungry, your breath tends to become stinky.

may be ya diet...can be kidney/liver diseases also. and lung infections/tonsils................keep mouth wet...dry equals bad breeathe......get blood test/chest xray to be sure..........

Use mouth wash after you brush your teeth.

Perhaps its your diet....
