When do wisdom teeth start to hurt?!

Question: When do wisdom teeth start to hurt?
I turned 18 and I can feel my wisdom teeth starting to come in. I can feel one poking through the gums. Everyone says wisdom teeth coming in hurts but I haven't noticed any pain at all.

Answers:

When my wisdom teeth came in they didn't hurt at all. Most of it has to do with HOW they come in, rather than the fact that they come in at all. Most people's wisdom teeth grow in at angles that impact their other teeth, causing pain and a shift in their molars already in place, which is why many people get them removed. Mine came in completely straight so they didn't hurt at all, just a little bit tender when I ate. If your teeth end up coming in straight you may even be able to keep them, but since they are in the far back of your mouth many people have trouble reaching them with a brush and they get cavities. I asked my dentist to put a layer of protective sealant on mine, and they've been just fine :)

wisdom teeth are like puberty, they arrive at different times for different people. At the moment your teeth are probably still under the gum. they'll start to hurt when they start "cutting", breaking the surface of the gum. They can also cause pressure on the existing teeth which can be a bit painful. Mine teeth only hurt periodically, kinda like they went through growth spurts and only became completely visible after i hit 21.

Wisdom teeth bother some people and some people they don't. They may shift your teeth if there's no room for them, which probly hurts. I had mine removed just bc the dentist told me to, they were probly fine but I didn't want my teeth to shift since I wore braces for a few years.

you will feel them there for a long time, by the time your about 21 they will start to cut and hurt.. best to get them cut out, if your teeth arnt crooked already they will be when they come through
