How to keep my gums clean?!

Question: How to keep my gums clean?
Okay I have braces on and my ortho person said my teeth are clean and great. How ever I do got puffy gums and I never floss because he said my teeth are great. I am just starting to floss and my gums bleed and hurt. I also noticed that there must have been a pop corn cernal in my mouth and left a little hole in my gum, I got it out today, will the gum grow back? Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

Hi

I had a brace and had the same problem with my gums bleeding. But they soon got used to it again and gradually stopped bleeding after a few weeks. I would definitely keep flossing every day. I would think your gum would heal over and close the hole up no problem, may be just give it time and check with the the dentist if there is no change.

as you have braces there will be inflammation of gum its normal for a person undergoing or tho treatment
the puffy gums you said is due to edema and swelling as there Will be movements in the tooth bone deposition and resorption will occur so that why there will be contraction of blood vessel that will lead to redness and puffiness
you can maintain your Hygiene by using a orthodontic brush and the floss and regular mouthwash and get scaling done every 2 months
the hole is due to impinging of the food material and will heal ,there will be formation of new epithelium in 7 days

You should floss every few days a week, although ideally, it would be every night. They'll bleed at first but once you get into a habit of flossing, that pain and bleeding will go away and they'll actually get more resistant. That hole will heal too. Don't forget to brush your gums either, something most people often neglect.
